When you hear about a product constantly, and everyone goes on about how great it is, it’s really hard to not want to buy it straight away.
Emma Hardie’s Amazing Face Moringa Cleansing Balm (what a mouthful!) was one of those products. Loved by beauty bloggers everywhere, Amazing Face seems to be one of those products that you have to at least try.
I was browsing FeelUnique a few weeks ago and saw that they sold it for a fairly reasonable price, and so decided to take the plunge and buy it. I got the “starter kit”, which included the 50mL cleansing balm, a moisturiser, a double sided cloth and a cute little bathroom bag.
I was really concerned that the balm would be far too oily, as oil-based cleansers and I have never gotten on very well in the past. When I first opened the jar of balm, I was immediately in love with the smell of the product. If my face was going to smell like this then I was already on board.
To use the balm, you mix a small amount in your palm with water, then massage into your face before removing with your double sided cloth. I used way too much product at first, but it’s good that you don’t need as much as I thought, and the 50ml tub should last me quite a while.
The double-sided towel confused me a little bit to begin with, and I didn’t really like the feel of the micro fibre side, but the muslin cloth took my makeup and the cleanser off wonderfully (however it stains easily, hence why there’s no close-up photos )
The moisturiser that came in the set I could probably take or leave, I didn’t love the smell and it did leave my face feeling a bit too slimy. I will keep seeing how my skin goes with the cleansing balm, but at this stage it’s something that I’m already in love with.
Have you tried EH Amazing Face? What did you think?
