Yol’Oats // FOOD

Last week I had the opportunity to visit the Yol’Oats offices and try their new product, something that was super exciting for me. I love food, I love puns – it was perfect.

As someone who studies nutrition, balanced and healthy food is something which I am incredibly passionate about. Yol’Oats takes the idea of yoghurt and muesli, and makes it that little bit easier and a bit more modern, and wraps it all up into a tasty little pot.

Yol’Oats was born out of a journey for good health, as well as the founders Rob and Zak noticing a gap in the market for a pre-packaged, convenient breakfast food. The idea is that people who perhaps ‘don’t have time for breakfast’ (which I’m still convinced is the biggest lie known to man) can simply grab a pot of Yol’Oats from the fridge and eat them on the go or at the office.

I was able to try all four flavours that are currently available of the product – strawberries & cream, fig & macadamia, apple & cinnamon and pineapple, coconut & lime. All four were absolutely incredible (although cooked figs aren’t my favourite, so that would probably be my last pick). Strawberries & cream was heaven and I would probably eat it for most meals if that was socially acceptable.

Each pot contains oats soaked in coconut water, a yoghurt and coconut centre and a fruit compote on top. The only picky thing I would want to change would be to maybe add some more texture to the oat layer, maybe even some nuts or seeds just to give a little bit of crunch.

They are currently only available in four stores in Melbourne, with more stockists being added over the next few weeks, and plans to expand all over.
If you are anywhere near
– Bagelicious (646 Glenferrie Rd Hawthorn)
– Napolis Quality Fruit Market (68 Ferguson St Williamstown)
– Amorosa Italian Cuisine (70 Ferguson St Williamstown) or
– IGA X-Press (84 Flinders St Melbourne)
Pick up a pot and see what you think!

I think these boys are definitely onto something good here, and I can’t wait to see them expand into something even better.

Have you tried Yol’Oats? Is it something you’d be interested in?

This is not a sponsored post. All thoughts and opinions are completely my own and do not represent the views of Yol’Oats, or any party other than myself. Thank you Rob and Zak for letting me try out your product!
