I don’t have any words to explain the deliciousness that is this smoothie. It’s basically a chocolate milkshake but if it has fruit that makes it a smoothie, right? This definitely isn’t something I’d want to have on the daily, and I usually leave it as a weekend treat, although the great thing about it is that it’s relatively healthy. You can use any liquid you like, I just like the combo of coconut milk and coconut water as I can sometimes be quite sensitive to dairy.
- 2 frozen bananas (chopped up into pieces and frozen in a ziplock bag, this ensures you don’t break your blender like I have done in the past…sorry mum)
- ½ cup coconut milk
- ½ cup coconut water
- 1 tablespoon raw cacao powder (I use LovingEarth brand)
- 1 tablespoon natural crunchy peanut butter (I use Mayver’s brand)
Place all ingredients into a blender and blend until combined! Sometimes you need to add a bit more liquid as the frozen banana makes it quite thick. It’s indulgent, yes, but a much better for you weekend breakfast than a stack of pancakes or a plate of bacon. I know this is a crazy simple recipe and quite possibly a very boring post, but new breaky recipes are always good, and this one can be whipped up so quickly! Enjoy!
